1.2379 D2.SKD61 is a high-carbon high-chromium alloy tool steel, which has high hardness and wear resistance after heat treatment, and has the characteristics of strong hardenability and good dimensional stability.

The steel is an air-cooled hardened cold-work die steel widely used in the world. Smelted by electric furnace and re-dissolved by electroslag, high purity, better toughness, uniform structure, good high temperature strength, toughness and high temperature fatigue resistance, can withstand sudden temperature changes.

High hardness, high wear resistance eutectic carbide is uniform, good toughness, not easy to crack, hardness after quenching> 62HRC. Nitriding treatment time at 525 ºC is 20h / 30h / 60h, depth of ammoniated layer is 0.25mm / 0.30mm / 0.35mm, surface hardness of parts is 1250HV; nitriding treatment time at 570 ºC is 2h, nitride layer depth is 10 ~ 20μm, parts surface hardness 950HV.
